Terrific fun. I personally can't spin it too often, but when I'm feeling in the mood, it works tremendously. And the cover artwork is brilliant, too. |

Sep 18 2007 12:53:52 Sounds very interesting in concept but I won't be able to sit through if it's the Strapping Young Lads kind of vocals.

Sep 18 2007 13:19:26 It's amazing how powerful and multitalented this guy is. Cool album but with any of his better works, it still lacks a bit of the additional thump.

Sep 19 2007 08:58:42 Yea, it felt like a fun personal-project throwaway, but really it's as musically developed as entire dicographies by more slovenly bands (most of whom are probably on the UK charts even as I type these words).

And the parts with singing and Devvy hamming it up more than make up for it. I'd say give it one spin at least. Personally, the programmed drums were a bigger hurdle than the vocals, but it was fine at the end of the day. |
