Dreamweaver (of sky): A new era of symphonic web2.0 metal has arrived. With a new record company in Sooth Metal Music, a new tour planned and a new album on the way, Dreamweaver (of sky) will continue to explore musical fantasy worlds with the precision musicianship and unique symphonic concepts that their fans have come to expect and adore. Long in the works, ‘Goodman’ takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 20th Century New York Times bestselling American astrologer and poet. Some of Linda's works include the great WWII radio show 'Love Letters from Linda', her bestselling books Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, Venus Trines at Midnight, Linda Goodman’s Love Poems, Linda Goodman’s Star Signs: the secret codes of the universe, Gooberz and Linda Goodman’s Relationship Signs. “As in any concept piece, the lifeline needs to be of a solid source, taking the music over many levels of interest and perception,” points out Antonio Morricone. 'Goodman' contains new frontiers explored and defined. The sense of adventure and the journey we undertook bringing the woman’s life alive with metal was a real labour of love.” As with all new Dreamweaver (of sky) releases, the group will embark on a legendary worldwide tour in support of ‘Goodman’. They will also be performing at the 2008 Back-In Festival. “The 'Goodman' album - above all others - is perhaps the one I'm most proud of,” says Leone. “Whilst in essence and character still very much Dreamweaver (of sky), it has afforded the opportunity to further explore areas of classical and operatic dimensions. As a keyboardist and writer, it has inspired me to greater heights and opened new doors to intrigue and passion. From start to finish, it will take you through a magical experience filled with light, shade, drama, melody and emotion that reflects this unique woman and her life.” “For me, ‘Goodman’ has been a musical journey without comparison,” adds Luca Pitrelli, who also co-produces this album. “The intrigue and mystery that surrounds this revered woman has expanded my perception of symphonic metal to the highest plateau and enabled me to reach the outer limits of my imagination and transport unique feelings and emotions to the instrument that allows me to express myself. Very few people know of her dabbling with the philosophy of Gastrology - yes, the ancient cult which involves melding of the cosmic power of the star signs with the perpetual human need for nutrition and nourishment. We felt that it was out duty to bring this amazing aspect of our muse to the light. Moreover, I'm a Ram, so these things are only natural.^_^” The bonus second disc of the double digipack is an SACD (wink, wink!) with the following special enhancements:
- It is REMASTERED! That's right, instead of releasing the remastered
version a year later, and making you feel like a sap for shelling out
extra dough, they give it to you right away, and spare you the
heartache. In addition to the regular double digipack CD version of the album, collectors will undoubtedly be interested in hunting down a copy of a Deluxe Double Digipack CD housed in a 66 page hardbound book package. But that’s not all - a Super Deluxe Box-set version will also be available with triple vinyl, the double CD, an expanded booklet, a poster, take-out menus from the band's favourite restaurants and a quick tutorial to make stylish web2.0 templates as seen on the band's official website. Most bands of this high stature would be happy to play it safe. But not Dreamweaver (of sky), who continue to take chances and break new ground. No other rock band could have pulled off such a grand statement, and Dreamweaver (of sky), have raised the bar once more with ‘Goodman’. As to why they chose to make a concept album about Linda Goodman, Alex Leone explains: “We didn't - she chose us. We feel we were obviously compatible as per page 182 of Linda Goodman's Relationship Signs!”

Where's the track listing to the second CD! What a gyp! Hold thy tongue! The second CD boasts the same track list, but with the following enhancements: - It is REMASTERED! That's right, instead of releasing the remastered version a year later, and making you feel like a sap for shelling out extra dough, they give it to you right away, and spare you the heartache. - 5.1 SURROUND SOUND! Yes, you heard that right! Morricone placed forward left, Leone placed forward right, Pattuccini rear left, Bozzioni rear right and the guest opera singer Ava Grimaldi through the center channel. Now you can hear subtle nuances to the masterpiece, such as when Morricone and Pattuccini get bored and decide to trade places! - SONGWRITER COMMENTARY! Pick your jaws up from the floor! Yes, the musicians themselves run you through the creative process behind each of their songs AS THE SONG IS PLAYING in a special overlaid audio track. Highlights include Luca Pitrelli dropping in on the recording session with a beer short, and the ruckus that ensues after. No, you can't turn this audio track off. So ha! A gyp?! I think NOT!!! |

Apr 25 2008 17:36:06 Now he isn't going to complain. He's bought all the Yes albums 3 times so far, after all.
That news update should be added to the article. It's too interesting to leave out. Everyone benefits. |
