Heard From Wisdom to Hate by Gorguts and continue to be very impressed by this album with its strange atonal doomy take on tech death metal. Interesting lyrics too.

Other things i've been hearing are Heretic Pride by The Mountain Goats, New Adventures in Hi-fi by REM and Eidolon by Dark Fortress.

Also on JP's reccomendation heard Lords of the crimson alliance. Nice old school metchul but the vocalist was trying waaay too hard.

Absolutely but that's one of the things that endeared them to me. That drum sound is wretched though.

NP: Gonin-Ish, I forget which album. Chaotic Jap prog-metal of the extreme variety. I think there's a guy from Sigh in it.

16 - Bridges to Burn This is some really good sludgy metal. Reminds me a lot of a less chaotic and grindy Soilent Green with songs that are a lot more catchy. Good stuff.

Rhino - Dead Throne Monarch Second album from this Spanish sludge band. This band has really impressed me with its sludgy incredibly heavy sound and a vocalist who is multi-faceted and does a damn good job right through this album. Heavy as fuck and some kickass songs.
