Eh? Too much Conan Doyle? FYI - Hair of every sort - I doubt yours though - has natural regenerative capabilities. Also when you aren't really using a thing and you chance upon it, the chances are that you might take a minute or two off to contemplate its state of condition.
Well, I won't proceed any more further so as to shatter your shield of much-needed gloriness. :P

picked up a Laney 15W bass amp last week. quite new, cost me 4k. I haven't tested the thing out yet due to work hassles. will report once said testing is carried out.

Nice. I was suggesting the 60w one for my bassist. Considering how much louder I'm going to get in a couple of months, that won't be enough either.

Dad passed on his Panasonic HDR-S18 handycam to me. Said he wasn't doing anything worthwhile with it for the time being. Now the challenge is finding something worthwhile of my own to get done with it. Amateur music videos! Or taping myself playing something. Full on.

Mini-review of this little gadget that I got it today:
Came in an extra-cautiously packed box that was 10 times larger than the nano's box, so it got screened at the customs and I had to pay about $15 duty. Still not bad, because I'm really enjoying this toy. Works fine as a boost and even better as a standalone distortion, and it covers the whole range, from rock to metal to thrash to nearly death metal. No extra noise in my setup because of this pedal, and it works surprisingly well at high volume too. It's a very good upgrade from the crappy over the top digitech death metal that I was using for my band Dirtbucket till now. That thing worked well at low room-level volume and as long as you're playing something in the death metal ballpark, but it was highly limited. Lots of noise especially when you cranked it up, weak and noisy harmonics and these cool distorted open chords lacked in any clarity whatsoever. Metal Muff Nano scores well on all these counts. I'll keep it to boost the tube amp when I get it too. I'm still tweaking around, but I've dialed-in a comfortable tone in a matter of a few seconds. It has only a couple of knobs after all. Check it out when you guitar players get a chance and have a hard-on for cheap dirt pedals.

Yea, olo does a brilliant imitation of him bobbing his head, giving one of his "deep, philosophical" blinks, puckering his lips and saying "semen traces" like he'd hit upon some utterly brilliant and unprecedented epiphany.

Bang on. Love that scene, can't wait to see his new crapfest called Dasavatharam where he's playing TEN roles. I'll surely come out of the cinema with a lot of cool quotes to impress like-minded friends. Wonder if he'll top Sivaji Ganesan's NINE roles on Navaratri. It was NINE times the overkill and coming from Sivaji, it'll be hard to top. You never know, we're talking about the man who shouted/moaned "aaaahhhhhhahhhhhhhh" hanging on a branch for a good ten minutes of a movie and followed it up later in the same film with a most annoying impersonation of Charlie Chaplin.

^ why are comments like this being wasted on the forum. They ought to be expanded into full blown articles for our rather sparse main page.Of course, I'm as guilty as eveyone else.
To rectify the thread derail, got the BFI DVD of The Innocents and intend rewatching this, my favourite old school horror film of all time, before the week is through. Also got Hey Ma by James. Still its with great trepidation that I order stuff from overseas to be shipped to India.
