Plusses:

Bruce Bruce especially and the whole band. Still acrobatic after all these years.

Stage. Starting with those bunkers on the sides, backdrops and amazing lights.

Eddie. Goosebumps!

The Tank, though it should've fired SOMETHING.

Dave Murray who's not changed at all. You still get your awesome face-melting solos like you always did.

Adrian Smith who was the star of the show for me...especially when he took out the SG.

Doctor Doctor.

All those classics, especially Wrathchild. They also played Trooper, NotB, Fear of the Dark, Two minutes, Hallowed be thy name and a couple more.

Minuses:

The SOUND. Motherfuckers. This was a big big big minus. It was shitty on all counts. Drums mixed like shit, rhythm guitars hardly audible, bass guitar making sudden farting noises, Bruce not audible at all till the 4th song etc., Fact is, these guys should've let the local guys do the sound. It's their equipment afterall and they've been pretty consistent so far. The last show, Deep Purple had a monster sound and mixed to near perfection. One underpowered stack of speakers on each side was hardly the sound for 40,000 people and this is absolutely not the way you mix them.

Organizing. I admit that it was our mistake to have reached the venue as early as 3:30 PM for a show that was supposed to start at 7:30 PM but it was shitty to not let us go out and re-enter. If I was organizing something a little outside the city expecting to finish a little late at night, I would also arrange shuttle services to and from some important destinations in the city. We really had to struggle to find out way back to my place. Fuck that we struggled a lot more to find some drinking water..and we didn't eventually.

Janick Gers.

Those songs from the new album. All 6 of them that they played. Most annoying was the way almost all of them repeated the overdrawn intro clean part once, AFTER the songs end. Fact is these songs will get really good if given a little make-over. Trim some annoying parts and rewrite some of the choruses. Because the solos are fucking top-notch. They probably needed a stricter and smarter producer.

Eddie's appearance was too short.

Notice how the minuses part is longer than the plusses one? That's why I'm going to cut some points.


 
PS: And, Lauren Harris was opening up for them and she sings like a terrible 13 year old boy who's just about to drop his balls. Wait, I think he'll have more range than her. Terrible, flat and off-key singing and awful teen songs with a Zakk fucking Wylde clone on guitars. He was wanking away to glory whenever he got his chance. The guy needs to learn to play with some taste. They butchered UFO's "Natural thing" too.
