Re:Forsaken - After the Fall
May 28 2009 22:55:47 Alright I finally got to check this out. And it's pretty damn good, with some excellent riffage and soloing. I would say however, the better Candlemass albums have more memorable riffs and the vocalist is good but has less emotional impact than he should.

Re:Forsaken - After the Fall
May 29 2009 01:15:39 Quite so. I'm pretty sure GK was comparing it favourably to current Candlemass.

Re:Forsaken - After the Fall
May 29 2009 11:17:57 ...from the review... this is a good deal better than the last few Candlemass albums
If you're talking about the better Candlemass albums being the first four then definitely yes because Epicus Doomicus onwards right up to Tales of Creation, the band was absolutely fantastic and laid down the blueprint for this kind of doom metal. What I was talking about was the fact that After the Fall is much better than the last few Candlemass albums. |
